SCHOOL GARDEN
Since 2010, we have with collaboration with Eltoft Montessori primary school and Vestvågøy municipality, had a school garden and Green School project on the farm. This is a inspiring educational offer for both us and the children.
It is very rewarding to show and teach children where our food comes from, and what it takes to grow and make the food we eat.
WHAT WE DO IN THE SCHOOL GARDEN
The students visits the school garden once a week, and follows the development from seed to finished plant during a growing season.
The students plant and sow themselves, while some collect edible wild plants in the nature, and others learn to cook food from what we collect and grow.
